VDIAGTOOL V210 - FAQs

Q1: "How do I replace the battery in the V210 receiver?"

A1: Open the battery cover at the back of the V210 receiver, replace the exhausted battery with a new one of 9V (6F22) and reinstall the battery cover.

Q2: "Can this tester accurately locate the short circuit point?"

A2: Sorry, it can't, only for the short area. We recommend that you use a more professional short circuit test instrument, such as a short circuit tester equipped with a needle meter so that you can find the short circuit point more accurately.

Q3: "Why V210 can’t locate the short point accurately?"

A3: V210 is an entry-level tester and can only roughly determine the short circuit area but also the short point. When testing multiple and complex wires, locating the short circuit point based on sound is easily affected by other lines.

Q4: "Does it come with batteries?"

A4: No. Neither the V210 transmitter nor V210 receiver comes with 9V 6F22 battery. Please purchase separately.

Q5: "Why is the volume still low at maximum, and what can I do?"

A5: 1. When the signal is not strong enough, the volume wil be low, please find a strong signal and try it out;
2. The battery power supply is insufficient, please replace the battery and try again. lf the issue still occurs, please reach us directly.

Q6: "What frequency does this unit send down the wire?"

A6: V210 automotive short circuit finder works on all kinds of circuits with voltages between 6 and 42 volt DC. For more details please contact us via service@vdiagtool.com directly.

Q7: "What should I do if the receiver volume is low or the tool is not working properly?"

A7: When the signal is not strong enough, the volume will be low in the receiver, please find a strong signal and try to turn the signal up to the highest level; checking whether the battery power is sufficient at the same time, since it will effect the tool working properly. When the tool is not used, please leave it in the OFF position or remove the batteries directly to avoid draining the power.

Q8: "What should I do if the sound is low due to weak signal strength?"

A8: If the sound is low, try adjusting the probe position to find a stronger signal for accurate detection.
